In the first quarter of 2025, the top communication apps in Turkey displayed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 332K in early February, despite a dip to 155K by the end of March. Its active users remained robust, starting at 68.9M and slightly increasing to 69.1M by the end of the quarter.

Snapchat saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at approximately $46.8K in late March. Weekly downloads, however, declined from 235K in January to 199K by the end of March. Active users showed resilience, growing from 16.7M to 17M over the quarter.

Telegram experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching about $85.4K in early March. Downloads initially peaked at 198K in January but decreased to 169K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, with figures around 26M.

Getcontact showed a consistent revenue generation, peaking at $93.4K in late February. Downloads witnessed a significant peak of 272K in late January but settled to 212K by the end of March. The active user base grew from 5.8M to 6.7M throughout the quarter.

Azar: Video Chat, Meet Friends demonstrated strong revenue performance, peaking at $270K by the end of March. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 60K to 84K. Active users increased steadily, reaching 538K by the end of the quarter.
